Unity is a positive, practical, progressive approach to Christianity based on the teachings of Jesus and the power of prayer. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions and respects each individual’s right to choose a spiritual path.
This church believes that each person is a Spiritual Being and a Divine Expression of God. We practice daily affirmative prayer and meditation. We have faith in the power of positive thoughts. We hold the belief that a prosperous life is the result of positive thoughts, words, and actions.
The Power of the Month is Life. Life is the ability to energize and animate. The disciple is Judas. He represents the cleansing of selfishness, allowing the life force to flow to every part of the body. The corresponding color is red and the location is the reproductive organs.
Affirmation: I am filled with life, sweet life.

Unity’s 5 Basic Principles
There is only One Power and One Presence active in the universe and in my life, God, the Good, Omnipotent.
Our essence is of God; therefore, we are inherently good. This God essence was fully expressed in Jesus, the Christ.
We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in mind.
Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are the tools we use.
Through thoughts, words, and actions, we live the Truth we know.
